Commission a Sculpture

With over 80 life-sized bronze figures and close to 200 sculptures created to date, Dave now works almost exclusively by commission. Each sculpture is unique and one-of-a-kind. Everyone knows that a bronze sculpture is a wonderful focal point in a public space. But in the private space, it can become a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years. Why not commission a bronze to commemorate your child, grandchild, teen, parent, grandparent

INCREDIBLY REASONABLE! Most sculptors send their work out to a fine art foundry to be cast into bronze. But because Dave does the whole process himself -- from clay to wax to bronze -- he can create your unique sculpture for a fraction of the cost other artists would have to charge. Only a handful of other artists in the country can make this claim. Price is determined by the complexity of the sculpture. A commissioned, one-of-a-kind bronze starts at about $15,000 for a child or $30,000 for an adult.
*A new car starts at around $20,000 -- and what is it worth 10 years later??*

Artist Residencies

Bring "Artist Dave" to your child's school!
An art educator with over 25 years of experience, Dave has completed scores of residencies at schools all over the Northeast. He will travel anywhere in the US to do a residency. Residencies typically last three weeks (15 school days) and are primarily geared towards the elementary school level. A collaborative effort between the students and "Artist Dave," Dave will create a custom sculpture on-site, based upon your school's specifications. He will then take it back to his studio to cast into bronze at the end of the residency.
Each child becomes an active, hands-on participant in the process by adding clay to the sculpture.
Residency prices start at $12,000* plus travel expenses, room and board (if necessary). *Price includes the costof the bronze sculpture created during the residency.
